November 4, 2024This comes in a nice box that you can give as a gift. It shows thr toy on the outside with nice screen printing on the box. It has several modules the kids can plug together with wires to create a circuit. Kids can rearrange the different modules to make different types or lengths of circuits. It works well and engages my kids. They like it. I recommend it.

November 3, 2024I agree with the previous reviewer. I’m not electrically inclined, but this kit comes with an abundance of warnings and cautions. I have a very electronically oriented six year old grandson who could have a lot of fun experimenting with this kit, but with the safety precautions, I’m very hesitant to let him experiment on his own. He also has a two year old sister who would be curious and who could get injured with the sudden propeller movements. There is an instruction book that comes with 140 projects, but I find that they are difficult to read and follow (even for a precocious, six year old who reads at a fourth grade level). While I intended this for a Christmas gift, I think I’ll keep it at grandma’s house for one on one time with me.

October 31, 2024This is a very easy to use kit to teach kit electronics. The parts are robust enough to be handled and mishandled by a child and feel like they will survive a reasonable amount of misuse. The wires provide good positive connections and all the bits and pieces we got worked properly out of the box. A 6-7 year old who is even remotely interested in messing with lights and switches is going to have a field day with this.
This being said, there are a few issues to consider:
– first of all, there are nowhere close to 140+ projects that you can build with this. The manual calls out a bunch but the vast majority look the same. This is not a major problem but don’t expect to get months and months of experimentation out of a kit with maybe 10 components.
– second, and this is serious, one of the components is an electric motor which in my opinion is genuinely dangerous. Wiring it in without a switch or a potentiometer (which is the most basic idea possible, and also literally appears on the manual) means that as soon as the last connection is made, the motor starts spinning at full speed. This happens very suddenly and it cannot be stopped except by pulling wires. The motor supports a propeller, which will shoot up in the air immediately, or a fan, which sometimes comes off as it doesn’t snap into place. It’s very easy for a kid to be surprised at this and end up with swirly plastic in their face. What this kit needs is a safety system on the battery pack component that turns the power off when it detects that the battery pack is disconnected, and requires pressing a button or similar before reapplying voltage to the terminals. This way you can never build a circuit without a switch in it, and things won’t auto-start on their own. Either that, or a way to lock at least the fan attachment into place. Either way, adult supervision is strictly required.
– finally, the selection of components is fairly limited and some of them don’t work too well. There’s a photoresistor which is not very sensitive, it can’t really dim the LEDs that much. Similar deal with the potentiometer, it works semi-well for the 2 electric motors in the kit, but not with the LEDs. There’s one 1 conventional on/off switch. Having 3 switches would have added maybe a couple of bucks to the cost but it would have made messing with the RGB LEDs much much more convenient and fun. Having a couple more wires would have also been useful.
All in all, I’m a bit on the fence with this one. The stuff that works is very fun, but I do recommend constant adult supervision in all cases.

September 11, 2024This is a really neat board to introduce circuits to kids. The parts were a little more realistic to my kids with plugs and cords versus snap circuits. Snap circuits are also great, but plugging things in on this board was a little more like how they see things around the house. Easy to use and set up for my son. This would also be a cool gift to give too.

August 21, 2024Kids love to learn when it is fun. Learning is even better if it includes quality time with someone they love. This set provides hundreds of plans for connecting modules and learning about circuits. Then when a module is used, it opens up the opportunity to research the principles associated with that module. For example, the vacuum and blower module can be used to learn about air pressure and Bernoulli’s principle. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to help a child learn while developing their critical thinking and research skills. The components look fun with the many colors and wires, and the price is nice for a “toy” that will give knowledge that will last a lifetime.

August 5, 2024I ordered this because my kids are fans of the Snaptricity kits, and this seemed to offer some cool alternatives for the same concept with less frustration in the process.
As is my usual practice, I put this on the shelf with all our other STEAM project options for when the kids wanted a break from games, and I waited.
I ended up waiting for nearly 4 months for my kids to choose this to play with, so I’m not sure what to make of that. However, they finally asked to open it this morning, and I was able to use time with this as a reward for completing other tasks.
My 8yo and 11yo absolutely loved it. My 8yo said it was “much cooler” than the Snaptricity kits. However, my 8yo also commented on how it doesn’t have as many options as Snaptricity offers. He spent less than an hour total playing with this kit, and I’ve seen him go much longer with Snaptricity kits.
It’s still an excellent kit, and they loved the floating ball component.

July 31, 2024This kit is wicked cool. My 10yr old and I had so much fun making a fan and a vacuum and a light , honestly we felt like real engineers! I think this kit is for more advanced readers and children that can comprehend detailed instructions. My so. Is very bright and even for him this set seemed like a bit much for his comprehension level . I’d say this is more geared toward 12+. But super cool nonetheless, such good quality they really put a lot of thought into the creation of this toy ! It is worth the money, especially if your child likes critical thinking fun !

June 8, 2024This set is awesome and the perfect introductory kit for littles. It says 3+ on the box which I think is a bit of a stretch, but my just turned 3 year old is able to play with it with a little guidance from a parent or older brother. The “templates” help a ton because of the shapes, but for his age, it would be nice if they were a bit more specific, like matching colors and something else to show the distinction, especially since he can’t yet read.
The ideas it comes with are great for younger ones and this will grow with them as they start modifying those designs and making their own.
I love the concepts my kids have now learned by using this set just a handful of times. They’ve been able to apply them to light switches in our house and it’s so fun to see them point out how things around them are working, especially at such a young age.

June 8, 2024My 8 year old nephew loves to do science experiments, so I thought he might like a kit like this. His father (my brother-in-law) is an electrical/electronics technician and of course he “wants to be like his dad”. When he first opened it, he seemed a little bit overwhelmed, but soon his dad became interested too, so they sat down together and picked out a few easier projects to start with. As soon as the first project was finished, my nephew immediately wanted to do another. Between his curiosity and the fact that his dad was “teaching” him and spending quality time with him, he just kept wanting to do more and more projects. Most that he gets get “old” after a few weeks and he never plays with them again, but this one has stood the test of time so far. We gave it to him several months ago and he is still just as interested in this kit as the day we gave it to him and he still hasn’t made it through all of the projects. Highly recommend!

June 5, 2024I got this toy set for a 5 years old. The toy set covers electrical concepts such as wiring, measuring voltage and current, on-off switching, converting electrical power to lights, mechanical power (motor), etc. I did not expect a kid of this age to understand how these concepts work and be able to debug and finish any of the projects with fully understanding how the wiring or how they work.
The blocks and connecting wires are big enough for kids to handle, rather than the real small electrical components. Most kids should be able to follow the colorful instruction sheets with some adult supervision and get some rewards (getting things to work, things lights up and motor turning). An adult should explain to the kids the wiring, the underlying logic and how the things work as much as possible to keep the kids curious and lay the foundation for any further questions and interests the kids may have down the road. I think this is not a one time project, but rather a long term project to keep for the kids.

April 29, 2024I recently purchased a STEM science learning kit for my children, and I am thoroughly impressed. This kit is a treasure trove of learning with the potential to execute up to 400 different projects, making it an incredible resource for introducing electrical engineering concepts to elementary-aged children.
From the get-go, the kit was a hit. It’s designed to be engaging and fun, making it a great tool for kids of various ages. The versatility is a huge plus, as it can grow with your child’s understanding and interest in science. The projects range from simple to more complex, which keeps the learning process exciting and fresh. The kit includes a detailed booklet that is indispensable. It lists all the projects with clear instructions and illustrations, which is critical for understanding the tasks at hand.
One of the standout features of the kit is its interlocking pieces and the mat that serves as a base for assembling the projects. This design not only makes it easy to see where each part goes but also simplifies the cleanup process. After play, all pieces can be neatly stored away in the provided tray, ready for the next use.
The kit not only teaches practical skills like how to create a levitating ball or a toggle switch but also the science behind these phenomena. It’s hands-on learning at its best. My kids was able to participate actively, enhancing their comprehension and enjoyment.

April 27, 2024My first child had a small electronics kid similar to this where you connected things together. I got this because I wanted to have something similar for the second child and the old kit had some broken bits and missing pieces because it endured years of play.
This kit is really neat because it has some additional parts beyond the standard switches, propeller, lights, and sound that our old kit had. This had unusual elements like a vacuum/blower module, a water misting module, a voltage/amperage measurement module. The infrastructure is very different too – this comes with a Lego style baseplate that you can firmly mount the modules on (they all have Lego-style connections on their underside), and everything is connected with plug in wires. I checked with regular Lego pieces and it’s fully compatible.
The kit comes with a 37 page booklet that has 118 different experiments to build. There are additionally some cardstock templates that can help a younger child get started. The box says this is good for a 3 year old and up. My youngest is beyond that age now so I can’t say for sure, but I suspect many 3 year olds would have a difficult time doing this independently. Certainly they could have fun building it with an adult or older child, and there are + and – markings on each module so maybe they could just match those up and have things work. My 5 year old can definitely manage it. On the other end, I don’t know that this would be much interest to an 11 or 12 year old beyond a couple hours of fiddling. It doesn’t seem like something they’d want to come back to. For the 5-10 range it seems ideal.
I really like the idea of having the Lego connections. This allows us to use the parts in buildings, like we can put the LED module on top of the police station for ’emergencies’.
The weird modules like the mister and the vacuum are neat and definitely increase the number of interesting things you can do.
The multimeter module is really nice, it significantly increases the amount of information that can be taught beyond the simple experimentation by allowing discussion of more advanced topics like voltage and current.
There are some minor misses though. The biggest is there’s no sound element (other than noise from the motors). No siren or beeping thing. Why this obvious device was left out I’m not sure. The more senses engaged the better. The multimeter module should have had leads that you could use to at least test batteries with. The connectors are pretty standard so one could build the wires necessary. The lighted wire that it comes with is neat. It would be great if all the wires did that when current was flowing to help create understanding.

April 20, 2024Wow, this set is absolutely amazing.
Those of you that follow my reviews know by now that I have an autistic grandson. So when I find things that will stimulate him into thinking in different ways, I love to get them. April 18, 2024My 8 year old is really into science activities, and we got her a chemistry science kit for Christmas that has been a big hit. However, it does tend to create a mess and she needs a bit of help gathering the ingredients and supervision when working on her experiments.
This electronics science set is just as exciting to her, and I love it even more because it is mess-free and everything she needs comes with the kit. The instruction manual is easy to follow, and with over 400 experiments to try, I doubt she will get bored with it.
The kit says it is for ages 3-12, and while it is mostly safe for 3 year olds to use, kids around my daughters age are more of the target audience.

April 11, 2024This is a stem science learning kit that can be used for up to 400 different projects. I opened it up, took it apart and started on one of the projects that looked easy to me. It’s very fun. I guess I could describe it as it electrical engineering for elementary school age children. It will work with a variety of ages! I really, really like that. It’s versatile and useful.
It teaches the science behind levitating a ball, a traffic light, toggle switch, etc. It makes learning about it fun and hands on. All the parts are interlocking and are easy to connect. Kids can participate and help assemble according to their capabilities.
The kit comes with a mat for interlocking blocks. Each one of the pieces for the project locks into position on one of the areas on the mat. It has a very detailed booklet with a list of numerous projects. I would stress that it’s important not to lose the booklet. Virtually every project is pictured and listed in detail. Without the booklet, I would not know where to begin.
The kit also comes with a few plastic coverings you can put over the interlocking mat to get you started. The plastic coverings are laminated scenes showing you what this project is and has openings to attach parts to the interlocking map beneath – so, it’s easy to see the where the parts go.
It’s all very well organized. This kit is simply designed and very versatile in the amount of projects you can do. It’s a really good tool for teaching kids about electrical engineering & science.
Clean up is a snap! It comes with a tray in the box and all the pieces go back in and can be ready for the next project. You may wind up using those exact same pieces or different ones – depending on which project you decide on next.
I am a fan! I love how easy it is to use, the detailed instructions in the booklet, & the easy cleanup and storage. I also love the simplified hands on way it teaches about and demonstrates basic electrical connections.
It’s working out very well for us. I hope it works out just as well for you!

Every time they came back to the toy is was evident that they remember what they had learned previously and looked forward to creating more. I contacted the company to order a replacement. They were very quick to respond to my request, and quickly shipped the replacements. March 19, 2024This kit is a nice tool to explain kids how batteries work in all of their . I found that the “64 projects” are basically 5-10 projects with little differences like adding a switch or a knob (potentiometer) and combining all the different pieces to make 2 or 3 things run at once. My 7yo son decided to try things on its own after following to 5 first projects because he figured that the difference between each project is just one added part.
He had some fun with it for a while, and I took the time to explain to him what happens when you plug this and that, so I guess that was definitely a good time together and I’m glad I could teach him some useful things. I will keep it for my younger daughters so it will see some more use before we pass it on to a friend.
I removed one star because the knob stopped working after the 2nd project… a burnt smell came out of it and now the current doesn’t go trough.

February 6, 2024Changed batteries several times and finally decided to open the power supply and found a disconnected cable (positive side). We used it for about 4 weeks and now it just doesn’t work.

January 28, 2024With supervision, this toy brings out the little scientists! My son played with it for 3 hours straight as he has always loved wires and is asking how things work. He also loves vacuums and humidifiers so those were even better bonuses!

January 27, 2024We got to make a few circuits ,but it’s was difficult to get the prices to connect properly to the board. So it was a continuous unnecessary struggle not so much fun.

January 19, 2024Absolutely amazing even if it breaks tomorrow totaly worth it. First time using it my 5 year old was exploring all the differnt ways to make circuits to see how to work the differnt modules and exploring the differnt switches! making hypothesis I’m so proud and realy happy with this circuit making kit . It’s also super safe! I don’t feel the need to be cautious of course I still supervise as I’m a helicopter mom. But I do it from a distance and ask questions that my child answers its amazing. Thank you

January 16, 2024This is such a fun stem toy for kids. It comes with everything you need to create different things. It keeps my child busy and all the pieces are very colorful and easy to use.

January 12, 2024This is a very cool and unique toy. Unfortunately, the knob switch broke on the first time playing with it. This was played with by adult and child so there was no rough use. Be alarmed that pieces could malfunction or break easily. Otherwise child has very much enjoyed this toy.

January 10, 2024It was really fun at first but after 4 months it doesn’t work right. I think it’s something with the battery pack. The spinner will work when you first plug it in and then stops. The mister doesn’t miss it all. The lights still work but not the speaker.

January 8, 2024This was an awesome idea for a Christmas gift! My husband, and 3-year-old, and I spent hours playing with this circuit board! We loved every one of the features. The ball blower e en has a little straw you can hook to the end to vacuum up bits of paper and it catches it in the filter.
Also, to get the spinner to fly up like in our video, you connect negative to positive and vise versa to reverse the spin. Otherwise, it just stays spinning in place like a fan.
Anyways, this was definitely a perfect find for a quick learning little mind!

January 7, 2024My son loves this! So many fun things to do with it. Might have to buy another one for myself.

January 6, 2024Explaining current etc and watching him realize how electricity worked was worth every penny. Sturdy product and easy to follow instructions. Wish the Lego like board was a bit more firm and attached to items more securely but otherwise it was awesome.

December 26, 2023My four year old enjoyed this but unfortunately, the ball in air experiment did not really work. The other projects seem to work so far. It’s a cool toy but I would only buy it on sale, it’s worth 25 or 30 dollars but not 40 to 50. So wait for it to be on sale.

December 23, 2023Follow the diagram or go off the charts to build your own!
My son and I had fun putting it together and talking about how the colors combined on the stop light diagram.

December 18, 2023My five-year-old loves playing with circuit sets, but typical snap circuits are pretty difficult for him to assemble on his own. This set is perfect for my five-year-old and my three-year-old to join in together and play independently. The wiring is much easier than the metal to metal positive negative connections in traditional snap circuits.

December 13, 2023This toy is an excellent toy! If your kid is engineering minded at all, buy it. You won’t be disappointed. My son just turned 4 and has already figured out how to use all of it on his own. Only complaints were that 1) the speaker doesn’t function – I have yet to contact the company about this and 2) the wiring connects positive to positive instead of positive to negative like one would expect.

December 6, 2023I purchased this as a birthday gift for my 7yo grandson who is on the autism spectrum. He was excited to be able to put the difference options together.

November 15, 2023If your child loves how things work, buy this. My son is four and this is the absolute coolest educational gift I have ever purchased (and I’ve purchased quite a bit over the years). He still needs guidance and help but the instructions and examples make it very clear to teach him. There are so many different ways to configure the circuits so you’re never bored. This would even be a cool gift if he were 10+. Kuddos to the designers for this. 5 Star!

November 12, 2023I gave this to my son for his 4th birthday. He could play with it for hours. Most lose his interest in about 5 minutes but he loves playing with this. I’m going to look for similar products.

October 18, 2023My six year old has a lot of fun learning with this kit! I think it might be useable but a bit beyond kids that are a lot younger. I think it’s great that this is a fun toy that doesnt require a screen. This is a great introduction to simple coding, and would make a good gift. The intrusions are clear and illustrated.

September 18, 2023My son is a curious little guy with the mind of an engineer. I was looking for interactive fun for him to play with and I decided to try this. He absolutely loves it, he plays with it for hours and it engages his little engineer mind.

September 16, 2023This is a “special” toy that we use as a reward for our toddlers. Other than the spill risk of the humidifier component, this is a great way to introduce toddlers to circuitry and cause and effect!

August 14, 2023This is an awesome kit! My kids (4&6) love this and have fun working together to make things work. My 4yo struggles a little compared to my 6 year old but they enjoy figuring it out.

July 2, 2023I must say I was immensely impressed with this set. This not only teaches the kids about circuitry, but also has many add-ons for added excitement.
Kids can either create one circuit, or add on multiple components for a more challenging and exciting experience.
There are instructions that can be helpful, but I found that the kids can figure things out on their own if left to their own devices. They test and experiment, and figure out how things work.
The quality is quite impressive. This is definitely a well thought-out piece. At the current price of $40, I feel that it’s fair. So long as the price doesn’t go up, I’d consider purchasing this again.

June 29, 2023Fun way for even little kids to learn how circuits work! Easy to use but does require an adults help if they’re little.

June 18, 2023Snaen Circuit Kits for Kids is a fun STEM toy. The instruction booklet is helpful in guiding the setup of projects. It’s nicely illustrated, and the instructions are clear. Once the basics are learned, it’s easy to start exploring and connecting the different modules without having to follow the instruction booklet. The power module takes three AA batteries. It comes with two different style of cords – the green one lights up, but the white ones don’t. The lego-style board could be better. Some of the modules don’t always connect to the board easily. I slide them and push down at the same time so they catch and make solid contact to stay connected. The modules and board are made of a light plastic, and the modules are sized well for smaller hands. My kid has used apps similar to this STEM toy – making circuits or small coding IFTTT (If This Then That) – and this is the perfect “live” hands-on companion. No screen needed! I like the idea of this toy and I think it makes a wonderful gift for kids interested in STEM . Overall quality is good. The only problem we had was that the connectors on the cords and modules sometimes need some force to get and stay connected. I would recommend this STEM toy to family and friends.

June 11, 2023This electronics kit appeals to all ages. My 16 year old granddaughter started constructing things right when we opened the box. This set is made very well with all the pieces packed in plastic in the box it comes in. It’s durable enough to last for several years. You can use the circuit to turn on lights, change colors of lights, make a fan, etc. There’s a detailed book to follow with all the instructions and explanations. This is a well thought out circuit kit that kids will love!

June 8, 2023This is an awesome kit! My kids (4&6) love this and have fun working together to make things work. My 4yo struggles a little compared to my 6 year old but they enjoy figuring it out. This is an awesome circuit board compared to many others, this feels like it was designed for children specifically in mind. The quality of this kit is amazing.

June 4, 2023I was thoroughly impressed with this kit! This is a great beginners kit as well as a kit that grows with your child. The build increases in difficulty as well as the complexity of the science behind it.
Even though my son wasn’t able to understand the concepts, he DID understand what he could build just by trial and error as well as seeing the simple to understand diagrams.
I’ve included the contents so you can see just how much this kits provides. This truly can be basic enough for a 3 year old as well as also work for an older kiddo that wants to make more complex sets and get hands on experience with explanation behind the science.
