October 17, 2024I ordered this for a 4 year old who loves dinosaurs. I set up the track on my own to see how easy it is to work with. I was able to follow the picture directions by matching the designs on the puzzle pieces with the picture. The puzzle pieces are sturdy and fit together easily, but figuring out how to put them together to create a connected track is more difficult than I anticipated. I added batteries to the cars and set them to running the track. Only 1 car flew off the track by itself while I was working with them. Next I gave the puzzle to 19 year old and asked her to help the 4 year old put the track together. The 4 year old was definitely not able to do it on her own, and was easily frustrated because her car kept running off the track. Even the 19 year old was challenged with getting the tracks in the right order to create a connected path. I feel an improvement would be to number the pieces and create a key for assembling into different track configurations. Overall, the kids lost interest in this faster than I thought and I would not recommend. Additionally, the small accessory pieces that come with the track are cute, but not necessary as they quickly become scattered and lost.

This turned out to be better than expected. The puzzle track is made of hard plastic. This has to be put together in a way where all of the tracks connect so the 2 dino cars can circle the track indefinitely. It may not look like the picture on the cover to get this connection. Each of the foundation puzzle is numbered on the backside… but we didn’t follow that to get the tracks to all connect, so there will be more than one way, I guess.
The two dino cars require batteries. There is an on/off switch on each car. They also work off the tracks. In most cases, they don’t run off the rails… but occasionally, they do. Overall, this is a fun car track that will appeal to you toddlers who love both cars and dinosaurs. Good quality to boot!

September 6, 2024The train has an extra wheel that extends slightly below the other ones that sits in the groove of the track provided. The system is quite common and works as well in this case as any of the other 4 sets I’ve had. It does occasionally jump the track but it isn’t a relatively common occurrence. The plastic is of good quality, and everything feels relatively sturdy, train included. Overall it’s a nice little track-based train toy, though it’s worth noting that other sets often come with 2 additional tiles for a similar price; however if you’re looking for a specific christmas train theme you’ll have to put up with the slightly smaller tile count.

September 5, 2024My kids have had similar track and trains sets in the past but not a holiday themed one. I took it out to look it over and it’s really cute. The track pieces snap together easily enough. The little train is very cute. This is a nice little toy to amuse a little one for quite some time.

September 3, 2024My boys loooove trains so much. This cmas train is so cute. Its very fun to assemble the pieces in different ways. After playing with it i realized most of the pieces can be combined with eachother so its super easy to put together even for really young kids. It has to be placed on a flat surface to work well. The train is great. It has nice small details and the wheels have good grip. Such a simple but super fun train toy. Awesome!
